Neurofeedback in Langley

Exploring LENS neurofeedback with experienced practitioners and care grounded in understanding you.

You may be considering neurofeedback because you’ve been struggling with concentration, sleep, stress, or changes following an injury. Perhaps you’re exploring additional options for yourself or someone you care about.

Whatever brings you here, it’s natural to have questions about how neurofeedback works, whether it might be helpful, and what receiving care would involve.

At Gentle Currents Therapy in Langley, our practitioners offer the Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) approach, drawing on specialized training and clinical experience. LENS is a gentle, non-invasive approach that does not require you to concentrate on a screen or consciously train your brain.

Our approach begins with understanding you—your experiences, concerns, and what you hope might become different. Together, we can explore whether neurofeedback may have an appropriate place in your care.

This page is a place to begin: you can learn about the care we offer, meet our practitioners, and find more detailed answers to your questions about LENS, appointments, research, and costs.

What Is LENS Neurofeedback?

You may be wondering what this approach actually involves when you sit down with a practitioner.

During a LENS neurofeedback session, small sensors rest against your scalp to measure your brain’s electrical activity. The system uses this information to provide brief, very low-energy feedback intended to influence how brain activity is regulated.

Because LENS does not require you to perform mental exercises or consciously change your brainwaves, you can sit comfortably while your practitioner guides the process. Your practitioner will explain what is happening, answer your questions, and pay attention to how you’re responding.

If you’d like a closer look at what happens during an appointment, you can explore our What to Expect During Neurofeedback page.

Some people considering LENS are also exploring counselling to help them understand experiences, relationships, or emotional difficulties in their lives. Our counselling services in Langley provide another pathway to explore with our team. Whether counselling, neurofeedback, or both might be appropriate depends on your individual circumstances.

When you contact Gentle Currents, you’re welcome to tell us what brings you here, ask questions, and share what you hope might change. Our team can help you understand your options, explore which practitioner might be a good fit, and discuss fees, availability, and what beginning care could involve.

You may want to ask a few questions, consider a consultation, or explore booking an appointment. Whatever your next step, we want you to feel informed, listened to, and comfortable making decisions about your care.
